The Tancred Wheelhouse
In July 2019, the Port Adelaide Historical Society engaged our services in order to repaint the exterior of the Tancred Wheelhouse that resides outside the front of the Port Adelaide Historical Society Museum in Peterhead SA. Read about its history. and passengers.
Repainting of the roof, hand rail and doors included safely sanding down of the surfaces and spot priming the rusted areas prior to applying a professional heritage quality paint system. When finished, Gary Lancaster used his sign writing skills to hand paint the name of the boat to the helm of the Tancred Wheelhouse. Finally, Gary applied new clear plastic to the interior sides of seven of the Tancred’s portholes. See below for before, during and after photos of the work. More information.
